Memory Lane

So I was on a friends Facebook page and noticed that she had a bunch of pictures from when we nannied in Boston. So I grabbed them! Thanks Tif! It took me down memory lane and made me smile. What a fun time it was! I miss all you girlies so much! Through all the drama and dancing and sleep-overs and fun trips you all became friends that I will never forget and helped me become a better person. Love you all!!

These were all the girls I was out in Bean-town with. From the top left:
Heidi, Laura, Gina, Leslie, Alicia. Bottom Left: Emily, Katt, Tiffany, Bri, Molly
"NANNY NATION"
Also, this was the first picture Steve ever saw of me, haha!

After church ever Sunday our ward held a "Linger Longer" since people came from all over New England. Somehow us nannies always seemed to get dinner duty! We all looked super cute though! haha!

Mormon Day at Fenway Park!! SO FUN!! The missionaries were all aloud to take the day off and come. These guys served in or ward. Sad but I only remember one of them.

Halloween 2003. We were all Miss America contestants.
This was at a ward activity out by our Bishop's house.

So these 2 pictures are what we all did on a regular basis. Whenever someone had a bad day or if one of the girls was going home, we'd get together and have a dance-party in our PJ's. Some of the most fun times we had!

Don't remember when or where this was taken. But I have a ring on, so it as after Steve and I were together. Not sure who's baby that is either, haha!
Long live Nanny Nation!!

You've got to be kidding me!

My cute/weird husband can grow a full beard in 2 days. He had a beard for about a week or so, which I actually liked. But, it started to itch like crazy and he said he was gonna go shave and take a shower. I went to bed. The next morning i was down with the kids and as he came down, to head out for school, I only caught the side profile of him. I thought, wow he looks handsome today. As I went to say those words aloud he turned and faced me....those words never came out cause all I could do was laugh..."you've got to be kidding me?!!"
It took me until today to figure out who I thought he looked like. Steve made it clear as he slicked and parted his hair. The pictures say it all!

My hope is that this wont last long...hope it goes tonight in fact! Can't really take him seriously and to be honest he kinda creeps me out with the stash! But you know Steve!

Funny Tessa

So Tessa is proving to be quite the funny girl with her own way of looking at her little world. She says the cutest things and I often wonder where she comes up with some of this stuff. Here are a few of her latest...

Last week she got the flu. I had gone to bed early only to be awakened by Tess crying because she had got sick all over her bed and herself. As I went to help clean her up here was our conversation: Tess- What happened?! Mom- you got sick baby. Tess- Why?!! It so yucky!
So we then got everything cleaned up and had her back to bed and all seemed well. But, moments later the crying started again. I went back in her room...Tess (with arms in the air) It happened AGAIN mom!! Mom- it's ok, your tummy is just upset. Tess- But it's so yucky! I make a mess!
So once again we cleaned up her and her bed. This time I got smart and put her to bed with a bowl and told her to use it if she felt sick again. Back to bed. Moments later... I walked into the room mid throw-up. As Tess looked up at me she had the biggest smile on her face. Tess- I did it mom! I frew-up in the bowl! I need to go tell dad I was a good girl and frew-up in the bowl. She was so proud of herself, it was so cute.

Next story...
Tess was watching Dora and they were making wishes. Dora told them to whisper their wish to the wishing star. Tess did and I only caught part of it..."Mama, Papa" and as I turned to ask her what she wished for, Dora beat me to it. Tess then re-petted her wish aloud..."I wish Mama, Papa come see me here". Her sincerity and hope was so cute. I was then telling my mom this later in the day and Tess asked who I was talking to. When I told her it was grandma, she said "I want Papa all the time here"

Other funny convos...
"Mom, I go live with Papa in Utah." I said, "You can't, that would make me sad." Tess "I sorry that make you sad, but I gotta go!"
"Mom I can't find Papa" I reply "that's cause we're in Pennsylvania and Papa is in Utah." Tess "I can't find Papa cause I yost in Pennsylbania?!" Mom , "we're not lost, we live here" Tess, "no I not live here, I yost!"

As you can tell, most of our conversations are about her Papa...she's obsessed!
This may only be cute to me, but had to share anyway ;o)

SO sick of snow!!

Well, winter came in like a lion this year. Actually, more like a pack of lions! Seems to be never ending. The past few days we've been given a break, thank heaven. However, for the past several weeks it seems as though we have to shovel 2-3 times a day otherwise we're stuck in the house. There's quite a lack of sunshine and when it does come out it doesn't last long. Needless to say, Erie is VERY dreary this time of year. Below are a few pictures of our "fun" in the snow.

Steve's never ending job....which he does so well :o)

Tessa likes to help. She uses the dust pan as a shovel, haha. Beckham loves the snow, but doesn't have the right gear to stay out long. But he loves it anyway.

This snowman was supposed to be a daddy/Tessa project, but Tess only lasted half way through the second section. Steve takes great pride in making things perfect and he must have spent hours on this guy. He was very proud of his work! Tessa and I designed the face...Eyes=prunes, Nose= a toy carrot, Mouth= Stackers Fruit Roll-ups, and Pipe= candy-cane.

Baller Superstar!

This is video of my little brother Joe. He was at a basketball tournament where he came in the top 3 for the dunk and 3-point competition. However, after the contest they were playing around and Joe amazed them all. In the video he first jumps over 2 kids and then proceeds to jump over 3. Steve says to make note that the first kid is also a couple feet away from the hoop. And oh yeah, did I mention that he's only 16!! Joe, you're a superstar!!

P.S. the kid taping is a little loud with his screeming, so you may want to adjust your sound, haha ;o)

The famous Polar Bear

Tessa started talking about this "polar bear with doctor stuff" while we were in UT visiting. It's all she ever talked about when you'd ask what she wanted for Christmas. Steve and I had already bought her a big gift by this time, so my grandma (Tessa's great-grandma) was the life saver and was able to find exactly what she was asking for :o)

Christmas Day :o)

This past Christmas was the first Christmas, since Steve and I have been married, that we actually spent it with just our own little family. It was so nice! We slept until 9am, went down and opened stockings, had a nice breakfast and then opened the rest of the presents. The rest of the day consisted of watching football, taking naps, and going to a friends house for dinner and games. The day was great and so relaxing. Though we missed our families, we were very happy to be able to have had this Christmas to ourselves before we move home this year.

Tessa was so excited to get things started. Though she hasn't really played with anything she got. She carries it all around in her "special" bag and won't let anyone touch it, haha! Silly girl!

Beckham wasn't sure about what to make of everything, but once we started to pull toys and candy out of his stocking he thought it was all pretty fun.

Great G-ma and G-pa Arntson gave this to him....Dapper Dan is his name. Beckham loves him!

This book was from G-ma and G-pa Arntson. Because she is so obsessed with her Papa, this is her favorite book!

The kids also got some great gifts from mine and Steve's parents, but they came late so the kids got to have another fun day of gifts :o) just didn't get any pictures from those...sorry

Christmas Jammies!

On Christmas Eve the kids are allowed to open their Christmas jammies. I was so excited this year when I found matching one! They both loved them and looked so dang cute in them too!

Very excited for their new PJ's

Love that Tess posed in this one. Not a fan of my pose though...need to remember not to put my head back like that anymore...hello double chin!

Putting cookies out for Santa. Steve told Tess that Santa made a request for Egg Nog instead of milk because he was getting tired of milk, haha. And, thanks to Suzi, we had some super yummy home-made sugar cookies to leave out :o)

Christmas Eve!

On Christmas Eve we had some friends over for dinner. We each brought soup and a treat. It was all so yummy and I think we all over-ate :o) After dinner we sat and talked and the kids sang some Christmas songs for us...VERY CUTE. We had a great time and we're very thankful to have such wonderful friends to have shared the holiday with!

Kids singing for us...Kassidy, Tessa, and Breckon

The Robinson Family. Kenny, holding Sadie, Lacey w/ Breckon (who wasn't a fan of taking pictures)

Our little fam. The Black family. Levi holding Kaybree and Suzi holding Kassidy

Thanks for coming you guys! It was so much fun!!

note: the Ganz were also there, but had to leave early, so just thought I'd give a shout out!
