Tessa's 2nd Birthday!!

Yesterday was Tessa's 2nd Birthday. We had a party for her and invited all of her friends. We set up a table and let them all decorate cupcakes. I think they would have all just been happy to eat everything on the table instead of worrying about decorating. But, we got some cute pictures.

All the kids ready to decorate. At the head of the table..Max, Annie, Tessa, Koen, Jace and Cassidy is slighty cut out, but she's there.

Tessa working hard

See what I did!!

Jackson, Tessa, Max, Annie, and Koen ( jace and cassidy had to leave early)

Beckham even had a friend...This is Zane. He's Max's little brother and is only 2 months older than Beck.

Annie gave Tessa a cute DVD. When we turned it on music started playing and the girls started dancing...It was pretty cute

10 years ago:
Oh dear.... I was moving from VA to IL. Hated it at the time, but loved our 3 years there. And honestly I don't remember any other really great things from that time, haha. Sad.

5 Things on my to-do list:
Put my kids to bed. Fill out some paper work. Clean my kitchen. Exercise. Get Tessa some b-day gifts. Today's her b-day and I had nothing for her....bad mom, I know but she had a party with her friends today so we're having our family thing tomorrow. RELAX...if I find the time. ok that was 6...oh well ;o)

Things I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
Pay off any debt. Put money away for each child (and future ones). Give a little to each set of parents, since they've helped us so much. Start making plans for my dream home, so I can start having it built our last year of school. Buy a car that big enough to pack us all around comfortably. Maybe have some work done...hahaha!! GO SHOPPING!!

3 of mybad habits:
picking at my nails. over thinking things...steve hates that. obsessing over my weight.

Jobs I have had:
cleaned horse stalls. cashier at Beef-A-Roo........sooooo yummy! Head Lifeguard at the Rockford YMCA. Secretary for my dad. Nail Tech. Waikiki Beach Tanning Salon. Nanny. Receptionist at Taylor Andrews. Admin. Assistant at HCI.

Things people don't know about me:
I was home schooled from 1st grade on. I have webbed toes. I had my belly button pierced twice. And there are probably more things, but you have to be pretty close to me to know them, haha.

Ok, I'm done! I tag Shaleen and Tanya

It was to quiet

So, I was upstairs putting laundry away today and had left Beckham asleep in the swing and Tessa playing with her stickers. A few minutes after being upstairs I realized that Tess was being too quiet. As I went to the top of the stairs to yell down and ask what she was doing, I heard her laughing. Since the laughter was so cute I wanted to see what was making her laugh and went downstairs. The pictures explain the rest!!

So glad I hadn't left her coloring with her markers...heaven only knows what I would have found then!

Silly Kids

Here's some fun pictures of the kids from our weekend of parties.

Annie, Tess and Max at Annie's party
We all thought Tess would get bugged by this, but Koen just kept putting the bottle in her mouth and she kept letting him. It was funny to watch
We think Tess and Max got so tired that all they could do was hug because they stayed like this for a long while. Tessa was gettin' a little fresh though, haha

Super Bowl

Well, the Super Bowl was a let down, as far as the game goes...we're Patriots fans. But the party was great! We had a bunch of friends over and had a good time with lots of good food.

Food and Friends

Tessa and Koen found their favorite spot. Max enjoyed his Root Beer! haha

Swimming

Tessa's little friend, Annie, had her birthday party this past weekend and we all went swimming at the YMCA pool. Tessa LOVED it!! Turns out she's quite the fish :o)

The Mom Test...funny story

Mom Test
I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that. 'Why?' my daughter asked. 'Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty, and probably has germs,' I replied. At t his point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, 'Momma, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart.' I was thinking quickly. 'All moms know this stuff. It' s on the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mom.' We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information. 'OH...I get it!' she beamed, 'So if you don't pass the test you have to be the dad.' ''Exactly,' I replied back with a big smile on my face.
